Installation instructions
*************************

On Windows, CodeChat is bundled with the `Enki <http://enki-editor.org/>`_; for these users, installing Enki_ will install CodeChat. See :doc:`../README` for more information on CodeChat itself. For other OSes or for manual installation:

* From the command line, execute :command:`pip install --upgrade CodeChat`.
* `Download <https://github.com/bjones1/CodeChat/archive/master.zip>`_ the source, unzip, then execute :command:`python setup.py install` from the command line.
* Clone the `CodeChat <https://github.com/bjones1/CodeChat>`_ repository, then execute :command:`python setup.py install` from the command line.
* For Linux users, see these `installation instructions <https://software.opensuse.org/download.html?project=home%3Ayajo%3Aenki&package=python-codechat>`_. This version is usually older than the pip package (see above).
